Pilot Project: Ludomathematics
This project stimulates the use of games, gadgets and hands-on activities as aids for teaching mathematics in schools. At the same time, an analysis of the efficiency of these tools in the classroom and the dissemination of best approaches and pedagogical practices will be achieved by means of an online discussion forum and promotion of a library of mathematical exhibits, games and other hands-on and minds-on instruments.
Target age group 7 to 17 years old
Languages Portuguese and English
Methodology Teacher training workshops on the use of interactive exhibits will be conducted in the Pavilion of Knowledge; Small projects involving students will be conducted in schools.

Impact The main focus is on the development of small projects where a curricular topic is approached by teachers and students using the kind of objects and activities usually found in science centres. This project aims to promote the use these instruments in the teaching of mathematics.
