Xplora Newsletter Issue 7
Welcome to the seventh issue of the Xplora newsletter!
The Xplora Science Teachers Conference, organised within the Pencil project, took place on 15-18 June 2006 at CERN. More than 80 teachers and educators from all around Europe attended the conference, which combined high level presentations with workshops and practical science activities.
On the Xplora portal you can download the presentations, find a photo-gallery with pictures from the event, read comments from the participants and have a look at some general evaluation about the Conference, Visit: www.xplora.org!
The Xplora team is also releasing the new Xplora DVD Knoppix -1.2. It features many new science teaching materials and new software. It also has a new improved menu structure, adapted to pedagogic needs, which presents materials and applications by subject as well as by age group. The new DVD release will be presented in a workshop at the ICL Conference, in Villach, Austria at the end of September 2006.
