PENCIL key findings published
The three-year project Pencil (Permanent European Resource Centre for Informal Learning) has released a publication bringing together its key findings. A digital copy of the publication and the final deliverables of the project are now available online at www.xplora.org/pencil.
Pencil worked to strengthen the operational relations on many levels between formal and informal science education, in schools and in science centres and museums. Through a set of pilot projects across Europe, it found ways for science centres and museums to work with schools to improve the quality of science teaching methods.
Pencil was coordinated by Ecsite and funded by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Research under the Sixth Framework Programme.
