The Vega Science Videos
The Vega Science Trust is a broadcast platform for science, technology, engineering and mathematics videos. The site includes a wide selection of lectures, discussions, interviews and research project presentations on different scientific subjects, at different levels.
The section of science videos highlights some recent research projects including `Women in Nanotechnology` (WomenInNano) research, and the `Nano2Hybrids`, Nanotechnology project.
The archive recordings include interviews with some of the Nobel prize winners from the late 90’s such as Fred Sanger, Joseph Rotblat and Max Perutz. There is a separate section for the outstanding Nobel prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
For schools Vega provides a selection of resources including short instructional films, workshops, and downloadable work sheets. Interviews with both world known scientists and their younger colleagues gives a unique insight of scientific careers.
All the videos can be watched online using basic software (Real Player). Have a look of the videos at http://www.vega.org.uk
