SchoolNetGuide 9 on blogs and wikis

The Swisscom Group has just released a new guide, SchoolNetGuide 9, that brings up a new phenomenon: the rise of blogs and wikis. The aim to this free guidebook is to explain how to use them in the classroom or at home.

From passive consumers, internet users are becoming more and more active producers of content. Via blogs and wikis, readers are also turned into authors.
This new guide describes what blogs and wikis are: a blog is a particular form of online diary, and a wiki is a website which readers can add to or make changes online.

SchoolNetGuide 9 provides you with advice and tips on how you can use blogs and wikis in lessons or at home, as a reader or as an author. You don’t need to be an ICT expert to create a blog or a wiki, it is accessible for everyone in a few minutes. The strong point of this book is that it is written in a very simplified way.
