SPICE first panel meeting

On 21-23 May 2010 SPICE teachers and science education experts from 16 countries will meet for the first time to discuss and analyse innovative pedagogical practices in maths, science and technology.

During the meeting, which will take place in Brussels, the experts and teachers will be introduced to the project and will work on the definition of a good Policy Action for maths, science and technology education.

The teachers will present several practices, from which Good Practices will be selected, according to well-defined criteria. The Good Practice criteria will allow new projects to have guidelines ensuring their levels of innovation and quality.

In the two years of the SPICE project, these Good Practices will be tested in schools across Europe. The results will be analysed and shared in upcoming SPICE meetings and in the summer school.

The SPICE project is being carried out by European Schoolnet (EUN) in cooperation with the Portuguese Directorate General for Innovation and Development (DGIDC) and the Czech Centre for International Services of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (DZS). SPICE is funded through the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commision (DG Education and Culture).
