SPICE Second Panel Meeting
On 17-19 September 2010 the SPICE teachers and science education experts from 16 participating countries will meet for the second time to discuss and analyze innovative pedagogical practices in maths, science and technology.
During the meeting, which will take place in Lisbon, experts and teachers will work on defining ways of testing in class the good practice initiatives that were selected at the previous meeting in Brussels. While the science education experts will discuss evaluation criteria, teachers will work in small groups focusing on a specific initiative.
Participating teachers are currently extensively preparing their good practice initiatives, as after this second panel meeting they will train each other on implementing them, using Moodle
These good practices initiatives will be tested in schools across Europe from January 2011 to April 2011. The results will be analyzed and shared in upcoming SPICE meetings and the summer school.
SPICE is carried out by European Schoolnet (EUN) together with Direcção Geral de Inovação e Desenvo (DGIDC) from Portugal and Dum zahranicnich sluzeb MSMT (DZS) from the Czech Republic. SPICE is funded under the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme (DG Education and Culture).
