Plan your Saturn Observing Night
Are you looking for a unique opportunity to introduce your pupils to planetary observation? Are you interested in exploring Saturn with them?
Participate in the fist worldwide “Saturn Observing Night” on or near 10 February 2007. Organised by the Saturn Observation Campaign (SOC), this night is part of a series of Saturn observing events held around the world.
The Saturn Observation Campaign gives astronomers the opportunity to discover Saturn and enjoy telescopic views of the planet with their local community. This programme aims to create opportunities for both professional and amateur sky observers to engage the public in the excitement of astronomy, using telescopes and the Cassini-Huygens Mission to Saturn.
The SOC provides a series of hands-on activities and educational reference materials for schools. You can:
- Plan your Saturn observing Event:
in order to participate in a viewing event, or to host a Saturn viewing at your school, first locate the SOC participant closest to your local community. |
