Apply now for the 2011 International Millennium Youth Camp

The application process for the 2011 International Millennium Youth Camp (MY Camp) starts on 15 October 2010. The objective of the MY Camp is to find young people who are interested in mathematics, science and technology, and help them to start a career in these fields.

Young people play a key role in finding solutions to the global challenges of the future. The objective of the International Millennium Youth Camp (MY Camp) is to find young people who are interested in mathematics, science and technology, and help them to start a career in these fields. MY Camp also aims to raise awareness of the educational and employment opportunities available in Finland; and to promote the Millennium Technology Prize, Finland's tribute to developers of life-enhancing technological innovations, awarded by Technology Academy Finland.

The main themes of the 2011 camp are:

  • Climate Change;
  • Renewable Natural Resources and Energy;
  • Water;
  • ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and Digitalisation; and
  • Applied Mathematics.

The MY Camp 2011 will be held on 11–17 June 2011 in Finland and is open to young people aged 16–19. The application period starts on 15 October and ends on 15 December 2010.

The MY Camp is free of charge for participants. The main organisers are Technology Academy Finland and the Finnish Science Education Centre LUMA.
