Assimina Kontogeorgiou is a physics and chemistry secondary school teacher from Volos, Greece. She is married with three children. She has received her Master on Science Education at the University VII of Paris. Now she is preparing her PhD on Science Education with a thesis in “Educational Approaches to Virtual Reality Technologies Lab” at the Department of Primary Education, University of Ioannina, Greece. She is member of the Greek Physical Society. She has participated in seminars and training courses about the physics education and the use of ICT as educational tool in Greece and in other European countries. Her personal interests are in the field of Bioethics, History and Philosophy of Science, Environment Protection and Environmental Education.
