Welcome to Biomolecular Explorer 3D, version 2

The Biomolecular Explorer 3D CD is designed to give high school biology teachers easy access to interactive 3D structures of biologically significant molecules, without needing to connect to the Internet. All the molecules are displayed and explored in a browser window with no software installation required.

The BioMolecular Explorer 3D (v2) CD offers you the following:

• preselected biolmolecules appropriate for a high school (secondary school) biology curriculum
• one-click access to interactive 3D displays, with no software installation
• molecules organized in a single table with a Quick Links index
• brief descriptions that place the biomolecules in their biological context
• view and interact with the molecules in your web browser window
• works on Windows, Macs (OS X) and linux computers

Links to additional resources require a connection to the Internet. Pre-selected web pages with background information for lesson planning are linked from each listed molecule. These are only available when you are online. In addition, we provide links to online tutorials.
